Gédéon Shapes the Future of Television: Redesigns for France 2 Info and La Sexta

Creative agency Gédéon has partnered with France 2, France’s leading public service TV channel, to reinterpret the design of its newscasts. Facing growing competition from social media and apps, the redesign focuses on clarity, simplicity, and dynamism.
Gédéon's new polymorphic visual system employs adaptive infographics and boxes to foster a genuine interaction between images and information. The opener sequences maintain France 2’s iconic dot motif, creating an impactful visual and sonic brand signature. With this timeless design that prioritizes functionality, the viewer’s news experience is significantly enhanced.
Designed for versatility, Gédéon's solution extends seamlessly across all formats—on-air, print, social media, and digital platforms—ensuring a cohesive 360° brand presence.
In Spain, Gédéon also collaborated with La Sexta, a key player in the Spanish media landscape and the second-largest TV channel of the Atresmedia Group, on a bold rebranding project. Confronted with the challenge of updating a beloved visual identity, Gédéon placed the iconic logo at the center of the transformation.
The new polymorphic logo reflects La Sexta’s diverse programming while serving as a trigger, transition, and cursor. This versatile graphic system fosters viewer interaction, creating a playful and engaging navigation experience. It embodies La Sexta’s spirit of freedom, variety, and entertainment, breathing new life into the channel’s visual identity.
