Exhibition Tip: The World of Tim Burton
by Eyes & Ears of Europe
From Edward Scissorhands to The Nightmare Before Christmas, few filmmakers have shaped our visual imagination quite like Tim Burton. Now, for a limited time only, The World of Tim Burton invites you behind the scenes of his singular universe — and it’s your last chance to see it in the UK.
Running until 26 May 2025, this landmark exhibition at London’s Design Museum is the final stop of a world tour that’s spanned over a decade. Featuring hundreds of original works from Burton’s personal archive, it’s an immersive journey through the evolution of a unique artistic voice.
What Awaits You
Step inside a realm of quirky misfits, Gothic whimsy, and cinematic iconography. While Burton is best known for his films, this exhibition showcases the breadth of his creative work — from early childhood sketches to paintings, photography, sculptural installations, and costume and set designs.
Many of these pieces have never been seen in the UK before. The exhibition highlights not only Burton’s distinctive visual style, but also his collaborations with designers and artists that helped shape the unforgettable worlds of his films.
This is not just an exhibition — it’s a celebration of Burton’s multidisciplinary artistry and a rare look into the mind of a storyteller who continues to influence pop culture, animation, and visual design.
