Booktip: 'Hanging by a serif'
What do we do as designers? And what does it really come down to? JohnD. Berry collects theses on typography. And he loves fonts. Right downto the last detail of a serif. The recently published booklet 'Hangingby a serif' presents each statement on its own page, the textjuxtaposed with a single graphic element: an enlarged detail of aserif, each one from a different typeface. The playful presentationbelies the underlying seriousness and usefulness of the advice.
The German version of the booklet was published by the Hermann SchmidtVerlag and can be purchased for €9,80. Further information athttp://www.typografie.de/shop/index.php/de/thesen-zur-typografie.htmland http://johndberry.com/shop/.
