Exhibition Tip: From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce & Gabbana Exhibition at the Grand Palais, Paris
by Eyes & Ears of Europe
Step into a world where art meets fashion at From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce & Gabbana, a captivating exhibition running until March 31, 2025, at the Grand Palais in Paris. Curated by Florence Müller, this immersive showcase offers a rare glimpse into the creative universe of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the masterminds behind the iconic Italian fashion house.
Spread across ten rooms covering 1,200 square meters, the exhibition explores Dolce & Gabbana's unconventional approach to luxury—infused with humor, irreverence, and artistic subversion. Visitors will encounter more than 200 exquisite creations alongside works by French-American artist Anh Duong, who paints herself wearing Dolce & Gabbana designs against surreal, dreamlike landscapes.
The scenography pays homage to Italian cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from Renaissance palaces, Baroque interiors, and ancient Sicilian architecture. Traditional crafts and collaborations are also highlighted, such as intricate gold-leaf mosaics from Orsini Venezia and the vibrant artistry of Salvatore Sapienza’s decorated Sicilian carts.
After its acclaimed debut at Milan's Palazzo Reale, the exhibition arrives in Paris with new, exclusive sections tailored to the Grand Palais. It offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to witness the translation of dreams into bespoke couture, celebrating the spirit of Fatto a Mano—the handmade.
