EYES & EARS 2022: The Programme
10 October / Munich

"Creativity is when people come together" is the tagline of the EYES & EARS 2022. After two years of e-Edition, the annual branch highlight will once again take place in presence. At last, a day with networking, know-how and condensed inspiration in a personal atmosphere is possible again. At the EYES & EARS, not only media professionals meet to find out about the latest trends, innovations and new perspectives in the fields of design, promotion & marketing for media and entertainment brands from all over Europe. Young talents are also represented here and show their promising study or graduation projects on stage at the New Talents. In the evening, Eyes & Ears of Europe will honour particularly creative, innovative or effective design, promotion and brand communication measures of the year with the International Eyes & Ears Awards for the 24th time. The programme will be rounded off by a cosy evening with colleagues.
Corinna Kamphausen, CEO Eyes & Ears of Europe, Köln

MASTER
CLASSES
Drawing means Understanding
Prof. Michael Coldewey, Filmmaker, Executive Producer & VFX Supervisor, Munich
Once you have drawn something, you never forget it.
In the Masterclass I will show you how to draw the most interesting motif in the world: The Human Being. Since we love stories with - and about - people, we also want to see and understand them. So let's draw them!
As participants you will learn how easy it is to put the human head on paper and how to create different characters with small variations. How easily the human body can be captured with pencil, brush and digital pen.
AI and Machine Learning: Save time with new features in Adobe Premiere Pro
Kerstin Ebert, Software Quality Engineer Adobe, Munich

She is part of the Sensei team, which is responsible for the development of machine learning and AI-based features for Premiere Pro. From 2010 to 2017 she worked as a Video Team Lead at Jimdo in Hamburg, then as a freelance cinematographer and video editor in New York and Hamburg, mainly working on camera and/or editing on short films, music videos and image videos.
Editing the Netflix series "How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)" with Adobe Premiere Pro

Own your brand with Kabood – Kickstart creativity. Maintain consistency.
Martijn Wolff, Partner Kabood, Amsterdam
Thijs Albers, Sr. Projectmanager Kabood, Amsterdam
Strategy decks, style guides, design systems. Logo's, fonts, colours. Tone of voice and templates. Icons, images and videos. Are you in total control of your brand assets?
When managed well, brands become the most valuable asset of your company. Kabood is the brand management tool that keeps everything from your brand together. It gives your marketing team control over your entire brand from one single place. So you can spend your precious time creating your next campaign.
Kabood is created for marketeers by brand designers. To make sure that strategy and creativity are executed to perfection. It is based on the knowledge and experience that comes from the thousands of hours we spend creating brands.
In this interactive presentation we want to show you why we created Kabood, how this works for brands in a branded house environment, house of brands, single brand or production house with many content brands. Then we’ll show you in a live session how it works to show what it can do for you.
3D audio is more immersive - but where exactly is the added value now?!
Martin Rieger, Immersive Audio Creator, Munich
There's a breath of fresh air for the ears: 3D audio is getting a huge buzz with Apple's new products, Dolby Atmos and ASMR videos on YouTube. But what's the point of being more "immersive"?! So here's an end to buzzwords and time to show the real added value.
Because in the end, it's not just hype, but rings in the next evolutionary stage of listening. Even with standard headphones, it is now possible to experience 3D audio technology from home.
But how can immersive audio now be used in the media, for example in marketing, broadcast or metaverse? What there is to know, how it all sounds and what exciting applications there are and will be.

From cult to mainstream movie brand. The redesign of Germany's biggest movie channel TELE 5 (EN)
Jan Leitz, Senior Manager Creative Solutions Warner Bros Discovery, Munich
Marco-Paul de Jeu, Strategy Director CapeRock, Amsterdam
TELE 5 is more than you think. It is the No. 1 movie channel with the most films on German free TV. More than anyone else, we look beyond Hollywood and show previously undiscovered film gems from all over the world. In doing so, passionate curation in distinct genre diversity of films is particularly important to us - because we have fiction in our blood
TELE 5 is the individualist among TV stations that stands out from the crowd with a strong character and invites all viewers to celebrate shared television moments with us. Coming from a niche, cult positioning the brand has opened up to a new, mainstream audience with its rebrand.
In this presentation Jan Leitz and Marco-Paul de Jeu will share all the insights from the rebrand, from strategy to screen.
