David Bailey, UX Principal, Visual Design & Branding BBC Design + Engineering, London

In 2013, after a successful 16yr career as a designer, David joined the BBC as Creative Director of the organisation’s shared design framework, GEL. Over the next 4 years he helped build a culture of collaboration among the many creative teams, and introduced the BBC’s new corporate typeface, Reith. In January this year David became UX Principal for Visual Design and Branding – one of four specialist roles introduced to help inform and improve the quality of design across all BBC services.
