Dr. Nico Becherer, Senior Computer Scientist Adobe, Hamburg

Dr. Nico Becherer works as Engineering Manager for Applied Research in the Adobe Video & Audio Team. He spends most of his time with his team evaluating the current state of research and designing algorithms and code for Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other Adobe products.

His main focus is on simplifying and accelerating workflows using modern technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. Since 2008, Mr. Becherer has worked on various large and well-known media applications and has been awarded several patents in the field of audio and video processing.

In his spare time he plays guitar and bass with his children. When he is not busy with picture, sound or music, he builds robot spiders and gives courses for improvisation theatre.
