Prof. Dr. Michael Müller, Head of the Institute for Applied Narration Research, Stuttgart Media University, Germany
Prof. Dr. Michael Müller studied literature, philosophy, logic and scientific theory at the University of Munich. After working as a cultural manager at Siemens AG and as an editor at ProSieben, he became self-employed and has been supporting companies in internal and external communication for more than 25 years. As an author for corporate media, he developed numerous corporate films, websites and print media. In 1997 he developed the storytelling method with his colleagues. Based on narrative approaches, he has since been advising companies, organisations and public institutions on communication and cultural development, change processes and brand management. As one of the leading storytelling experts in German-speaking countries, he conducts numerous seminars and advanced training courses, including the certified advanced training course "Professional Storytelling in Companies". Since 2010 he has been Professor of Media Analysis and Media Conception at the Stuttgart Media University, where he heads the "Institute for Applied Narration Research (IANA)".
