Discovery Communications Deutschland is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Communications LLC, the world’s leading non-fiction media company with a reach of three billion viewers in 220 countries. Under the name of Discovery Networks Deutschland, the company produces the Pay TV channels DISCOVERY CHANNEL, ANIMAL PLANET and Eurosport 2 as well as the free TV channels DMAX, TLC and Eurosport 1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The media company, which was founded in 1996, is based in Munich.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for both formulating, planning and executing local marketing campaigns and adapting international campaigns in line with the overall Eurosport brand strategy
  • Monitor and implement correct use of Eurosport identity across all departments
  • Act as interface towards the Eurosport marketing headquarters for all incoming and outgoing requests
  • Liaise with the Eurosport Player marketing team to assure a consistent overall marketing communication
  • Planning and executing of marketing events
  • Negotiating, implementing and monitoring of all Eurosport barter-deal contracts


  • Profound sports knowledge – preferably Bundesliga, Olympics, tennis, cycling and winter sports
  • At least 3 years marketing experience, preferably in the media industry
  • Demonstrable track record in project management
  • Native German speaker, fluent in English
  • Excellent diplomatic and communication skills
